Language Arts Grant Recipient: Trask River High School

Trask River High School in Oregon was one of the schools that was selected to receive a $250 Language Arts grant for the 2012-2013 school year.

Pam Miller, the teacher who applied for and received the grant, shared what she was able to do with these funds and how it impacted her students. Below is an image showing some of the products Pam was able to purchase with the grant money.

“Your program has been an awesome experience for my students.  To have the opportunity to be published is every writer’s dream.  You produce a professional product that does their work credit.  Thank you for offering something that encourages the creativity within our youth.”

IMG_0487Pam’s students have been participating in our contests for several years and have had many inspiring writing pieces published in our anthologies.  Thank you to Pam and her students for sharing how they were able to use the grant money to further inspire and motivate student writers. Congratulations again!

Starting in Fall 2013, Language Arts Grants will be replaced with our Classroom Rewards Program, which will give every classroom the opportunity to earn funds to purchase much needed classroom supplies.  To learn more about the program, call 435-713-4411.  To enter our national writing contests, visit www.PoeticPower.com.
